We had a excellent slab of pork and (by request) extra pig skin which is tasty. I also had a excellent sausage from a vendor that was walking around selling them. The only reason they got a 4 instead of a 5 is that the lines were pretty long, but the food was worth the wait.

Very good, not a 5 because they ran out of HB Oktoberfest at 9:30. But that is a testament to the popularity of this event.

You get the best of all oktoberfest worlds. great food, great music, great beer and great people. As far as oktoberfest go, this is about as good as they get in my opinion.

The food was excellent. There was a wide variety from chicken to pig to bratwurst on a pretzel bun. The one drawback were the lines. The dinner line was running around 20-30 minutes and the sandwich line at 1 hour!
Beverages:

15 beers on tap, 13 of which were imports. Multiple bars, all with short waits. Sold by the cup, plastic stein or brewery-branded glass steins you could keep.

There was mini-golf and plenty of carnival games available, but the music was by far the highlight. The German band must have had at least 20 members, as well as special members that played the wooden spoons and the anvil. Yes, a guy played an anvil. The brass section periodically went into the crowd and played on the tables while everyone danced around the building. IT WAS AWESOME!! To keep the music going, a smaller German band played while the main band was on break.

I've gone here each of the last four years and it's my favorite. If you're within driving distance it's a crime not to go.
